Popped in to Birkdale and decided to try The Junction Patisserie which was new to us. Located right next to the train tracks it has some great up close views of the trains. The Liverpool bound trains do make it rumble a little. The coffee was good and the lemon drizzle was very tasty. The only downside is the small space. In good weather you can sit outside but there are only 4 tables inside, which are quite small. This could lead to disappointment during the colder months. The friendly welcome, coffee and cake selection would make this one to try.
