We decided that we weren’t going to be stuck inside all day, on went the layers and off we set for Java Nation in Kensington. Apart from the brutal winds the mile walk was quite pleasant.
Destination reached, now for coffee and a snack to fuel up for the walk home.
I headed out this morning to test a new Sony camera that I am thinking about replacing my Nikon with. When I planned this trip I didn’t realize that snow would be with us again.
While we didn’t get much actual snow it was still cold out.
After a few hours it was time to head inside and thankfully the Smithsonian Castle was close to provide warmth, power and COFFEE.
There is talk of 24″ to 36″ of snow in the upper Eastern states. Thankfully we are only expecting 1″ to 3″ here.
The weather people were calling for 1-3″ today. While some areas did get this amount, in Bethesda it was maybe an inch and nothing stuck to the ground.
It looks like this path is not getting a lot of direct sunlight. A nice sheet of ice welcomed me as I walked today.
What started out as being about an inch ended up at 4-6 inches and as usual the county were caught unprepared.
