A pleasant evening at Suburban Trading Co for Happy Hour. A little beer and wine, a couple of starters and dessert.
Going the long way round via Columbia Heights, Children’s National Hospital and Union Station on my way to the Fruit Stand in Bethesda.
It was a busy afternoon in Downtown Bethesda as people flocked to the Arts Festival. Hopefully the weather will be as nice tomorrow when I am off and can have a proper walk around.
We are onto day 6 of the iPhone 6 launch and there are still a few people willing to wait inline for the new iPhone but it looks like they prefer to wait in their warm cars than sit outside the store until we open. I arrived to find a line of chairs outside the Fruit Stand but no people.
This Sunday found us at The Coupe on 11th Street for breakfast. Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. The only downside I see is the availability of parking on a weekday.
It was a beautiful evening to stroll home after a day at the Fruit Stand. It was so nice I even did an extra mile so I would be out longer.
O2 will be introducing the iPhone to Ireland on March 14th. After looking at the available plans I am glad I don’t have to use one of them. The cheapest plan has 175 minutes, 100 texts and 1GB of data. This compares badly with both the UK and US which have more minutes, texts and unlimited data.
Comparing it with the US maybe a push but considering that O2 is the carrier for both the UK and Ireland the difference seems a little strange.
Follow up – I spotted this response from O2 Ireland about their prices for services on TUAW.
Looking at the before and after images on the website it looks as if it does actually work. Having said that, why would you buy one. If you need that much zoom buy a camera as I can’t see the point in trying to zoom the camera on the iPhone. I love the images from the iPhone as I do the images from my LOMO’s but quality images they are not.
If you want to try one they are $19.00 from mobile.brando.com.hk.
New images have been added to the iPhone Wallpaper page.
