O2, the UK wireless provider has updated its plans for iPhone users. Minutes and texts will be added to existing plans and customers, unlimited data will still be included.
While this is a very nice gift for O2 customers it makes me wonder why they made the changes? Is it possible that sales have not been as high as expected and they are hoping that the new plans will increase sales.
The Financial Times reported earlier this month that O2 had sold 180,000 iPhones in eight weeks. While declining to comment on the reports O2 did state that it was “delighted with the response to the iPhone, which has seen unprecedented levels of customer satisfaction,”. It will be interesting to keep an eye on sales over the coming months.
