iPhone Cut & Paste - Maybe
A possible solution for the iPhone cut & paste has been proposed by OpenClip. They will offer a solution that will allow cut & paste between supported applications.
The process is suposed to be within the rules of the iPhone SDK, so now we have to wait and see if developers will embrace it and if Apple will allow it or release their own solution.

In June there were rumors that Best Buy and Radio Shack would both offer the iPhone 3G for sale. Can we now expect a similar announcement from Radio Shack?
iPhone leads cameraphones on Flickr

Flickr has released the latest monthly statistics for cameraphone usage and the iPhone continues to be number one. After the recent release of the iPhone 3G the gap to the #2 phone, the Nokia N95, is increasing. It will be interesting to see how the figures change over the next couple of months as the iPhone 3G is sold in even more markets.
iPhone Apps reach 60 million downloads
Steve Jobs told the Wall Street Journal that over 60 million iPhone apps have been downloaded in the first month of availability. The total revenue was approximately $30 million, of which 30% went to Apple.
If sales continue at the current pace, Apple stands to clear at least $360 million a year. “This thing’s going to crest a half a billion, soon,” Jobs told the Wall Street Journal. “Who knows, maybe it will be a $1 billion marketplace at some point in time…. I’ve never seen anything like this in my career for software.”
Of the revenue earned by app creators approximately 45% went to the creators of the top 10 app sellers. Sega revealed that they sold 300,000 copies of their $9.99 Super Monkeyball game in 20 days.
No comment was made about the actual number of iPhone 3G’s that were sold in the first month.
8 people buy $1000 iPhone App
According to the LA Times 8 people paid $1000 for the “I am rich” app before it was removed by Apple. Basically all this app did was to display a red crystal on your iPhone screen to show people that you have more money than common sense.

Six people from the United States, one from Germany and one from France dropped a grand for the gem in the first 24 hours it was available, Heinrich said.
One of the purchasers has said that it was an error and that he wants his money back. That just leaves the other 7, what were they thinking when they hit the Buy App button?
Foxconn builds 800,000 iPhones a week
According to a report on TechCrunch, Foxconn (the iPhone 3G manufacturer) is making 800,000 iPhones a week. At this rate they will make 40 million iPhone 3g’s this year.
While these numbers are hopefully good from a sales point of view, the stories of quality control problems on the white iPhone 3G’s could spoil the overall picture for Apple.
