Taken With An iPhone

As a Wordpress blogger I was interested to see that their application to create and edit posts has been released for the iPhone. It supports WordPress.com blogs and self-hosted WordPress blogs running version 2.5.1 or newer.

Setting up your blog is simply, just type your full domain name, user name and password. From there you can create new posts inserting images directly from your iPhone into a post or edit previously posted items.

After a quick look around it seems to be easy to create new posts or edit old ones. I don’t think I would want to create a long post on my iPhone but for quick updates while out and about it could be perfect.

Apple have released an iPhone optimized User Guide for the new iPhone 2.0 firmware. It can be found in the iPhone Safari bookmarks or at help.apple.com/iphone.

The index page is broken down into iPhone functions or topics - Getting Started, Basics, Phone and so on. Each topic expands to reveal more options and information on the various functions of the iPhone.

The guide seems to be aimed at new users but I am sure there will be something for everyone when you start to digg.
