Apple released their second quarter fiscal results yesterday, which included a $1.05 billion profit. Other news from the announcement included the fact that they shipped 1.7 million iPhones during the period.
Mac sales were up 51%, iPod sales were only up 1% but still holds 73% of the MP3 market.

PC World says the the 3G iPhone will be announced June 9th, probably at the WWDC keynote speech given by Steve Jobs.

AT&T reported a 22% rise in profits due in part to Apple’s iPhone. Net income jumped to $3.46 billion from $2.85 billion.
TG Daily has published a post on the rumored features of a 3G iPhone. Most of the rumors have been seen there and on other sites.
An interesting point they make is:
“Publications such as ours receive information from industry sources. In fact, the leaks are frequent enough to make us wonder whether this is one huge marketing show staged by Apple.”
Only time will show how close this list is to the 3G iPhone, I hope the wait is not too long.
Reports coming out of the UK indicate that sales of the 8GB iPhone are up after the price drop. Sales of the 16GB model seem to be level which would seem to show that the price has been affecting sales.
Does the increase in sales mean that users in the UK don’t care about the rumored coming of the 3G iPhone?
