2 + 2 = 3G iPhone – Maybe

First iPhone, Therefore I Blog reports that there is a shortage of iPhones in New York Apple stores and upon further investigation the online store has limited stock as well. Second iPodObserver published an interview with Ken Dulaney of the research firm Gartner, who states that Apple have placed an order for 10 million 3G iPhones.

Now putting 2+2 together and jumping to conclusions, does this mean that Apple are running down stock of the iPhone in preparation for the release of a 3G version. It could be that both reports are wrong and 2+2=17. Having said that, it is part of the fun to speculate about the various rumors that pop up on the Apple front.
